Municipal finances can be a little tricky to navigate. My goal is to demystify them, and provide a guide that people can use to understand how their collective money works to improve the collective life experience.
Communication
This isn’t listed last, it’s listed at the bottom – the foundation. Elected officials have the impossible job of acting on behalf of the better good. The only way we can do that is through open communications – LISTEN to the people we represent, EXPLAIN what we are doing to meet the needs and desires of the community, and LISTEN AGAIN to understand how well we are accomplishing our collective goals.
