Castroville is in many ways a typical historic small Texas town that is directly adjacent to a huge metropolitan area. In many ways, though, it is unique and special. The challenge is to grow as Castroville – not “Anywhere Big City USA.” I hope to provide insight into how we are striving to maintain our uniqueness in the face of big city development happening all around.
